ZRS Mission Briefing #001

Preparedness Isn’t Just About Zombies

From the Desk of Director Alistair

Welcome, Cadets.

People ask what is the Zombie Readiness Society (ZRS). Do we need it? Probably, more than ever, The name makes people curious. Curiosity opens the door to learning. That is what ZRS is all about.

The truth is, our mission has never been about preparing for zombies. It’s about preparing for life. Storms arrive. The power goes out. Roads close. Phones lose service. Plans change.

Most emergencies don’t look like the movies. They’re ordinary. And that’s exactly why being prepared matters. Preparedness isn’t about fear. It’s about confidence.

It’s knowing where your flashlight is when the lights suddenly go out. It’s having enough water on hand to get through an unexpected outage. It’s making sure your family knows where to meet if you’re separated. It’s remembering that calm decisions are usually the best decisions.

At the Zombie Readiness Society, we believe every small step builds resilience. So your first mission isn’t dramatic. There are no secret codes. No mysterious laboratories. No zombie sightings.

Instead, your assignment is beautifully simple. Find a flashlight. Check the batteries. Place it somewhere everyone in your home can find it. That’s it.

One small action. One simple success. One more reason to feel confident tomorrow than you did yesterday.

Welcome to the Society.

Be Ready. Stay Human.

Mission complete?

Good.

We’ll see you next week.
